That is a staggering number of people and families who are touched by cancer, and that is why my students and I have joined the American Cancer Society on a mission to save lives and create a world with more birthdays by participating in the Relay For Life in my community.
We have also created a team of students to show our youth the power they have to bring awareness to others, stand with those who can't do it alone and know that their actions will have a positive effect on many. Our goal is to pay it forward not just by raising funds to battle this disease that knows no race, class, sex, or age but to create a world of compassionate young adults.

At Relay For Life we celebrate loved ones who have won their battle against cancer, remember those who are no longer with us, and fight back against this disease that touches so many. We are determined to make a difference, and I hope we can count on your support. The 24 Hr. walk will be March 31-April1 at USC.
